What is Aqiqa?
Aqiqa is the sacrifice of livestock such as goats and sheep that takes place at the birth of a child that is performed as part of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
By performing Aqiqa it is a way to express your gratitude towards Allah SWT for blessing you with a baby. According to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), one animal is sacrificed at the birth of a baby girl and two animals are sacrificed for the birth of a baby boy.
How Does Aqiqa Work?
Pay for your Aqiqa and provide child’s name.
We perform Aqiqa on your behalf within 3 business days from the date of your donation.
We send you a report with details of the Aqiqa within 5 days after the Aqiqa has been performed.
There is a difference of opinion as to whether Aqiqa is obligatory or recommended, the more dominant opinion states Aqiqa is Sunnah Mu’akkadah.
As of now we are only doing Aqiqa sacrifices in Myanmar, but in the near future we hope to expand to more countries InshAllah.
The animals sacrificed include both sheep and goat.
Aqiqa costs $160 for a girl and $320 for a boy.
Once the Aqiqa has been performed on behalf of you, we will send you a detailed report.
