In Khuda ki Basti – an impoverished community in Gadap Town, Karachi, Pakistan – expecting mothers face severe financial hardship and little access to quality maternal care. Project Goals
As part of the MNCH (Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health) program, this project will bring safe births, healthier starts, and dignity to Khuda ki Basti by delivering the following services:
- Serve a community of 20,000 women and children.
- Provide pre- and post-natal care to new mothers.
- Enhance Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) center facilities with 24/7 birthing services.
- Improve the overall health and well-being of the community by ensuring access to essential maternal and child healthcare services.
- Ensure the availability of:
- Essential medications
- Medical supplies
- Laboratory and imaging resources
- Mitigate the financial strain experienced by families through:
- Provision of maternal supplements
- Supporting basic nutrition amidst inflation-driven economic challenges
- Provision of essential clothing for newborns and children
