Help Us Feed Our World!

Feed Our World provides healthy meals to people in poor communities around the globe. These people are living in poverty and barely making ends meet, uncertain of where their next meal will be coming from – and that’s where we step in. We deliver aid to people in over 30 countries, providing them with nutritious food packs, as well as sustainable, long–term solutions to hunger.

Through no fault of their own, the people in these countries are victims of either war, drought, famine, displacement or natural disasters. Families ration meals and children go to bed with empty stomachs.

Feed Our World 365

Active
In Bangladesh we are providing 35 female headed households with a milking cow and a calf. These households will be trained on how to care for, rear, and generate an income with their livestock. Through this program female headed households will be empowered with the tools, skills, and knowledge they need to feed themselves and their families for 365 days a year.

Fred Victor Women’s Bakery

Active
Vulnerable women are in need of female friendly spaces that provide a safe environment to develop their skills, and receive job training and opportunities. Through this program with Fred Victor Centre, we will provide 24 vulnerable women with formal bakery training, and internships so they can develop skills to generate an income.

MENA Emergency Food Response

The COVID-19 pandemic is having a critical impact on access, affordability, and availability of safe and nutritious food for vulnerable families in the MENA region. To respond to the urgent need of food in this area, Penny Appeal Canada is distributing nutritionally dense food packs consisting of staple food items.

School Breakfast Program – Yemen

Penny Appeal Canada aims to help alleviate some of the disastrous impact of the Yemen crisis by the provision of nutritious breakfasts to the students of 1 of the most affected schools in Yemen for a whole year.

Zakat Al Fitr At Home

To celebrate Eid, #TeamOrange volunteers delivered 220 Zakat Al Fitr grocery hampers to muslim families in need in Toronto and Edmonton. Families received groceries the weekend before Eid and the groceries will last them the entire month of Ramadan!

Yemen Bakery

Support 500 families in need with a daily ration of bread through a charitable bakery that will also provide employment and skills training to community members in need of a source of secure income.

Fidya Food Packs – Ramadan Feed Our World

Fed families around the world throughout the month of Ramadan by providing them with a food pack filled with essential goods that lasted them the entire month. Muslim families in need received food packs consisting of nutritious staple food and fresh produce.

Global Zakat Al Fitr

We helped families around the world celebrate Eid by providing them with a food pack filled with essential goods that will last them through the celebration and beyond. Before Eid, Muslim families in need received food packs consisting of nutritious staple food, fresh produce, and celebratory food items.

YEG Food Hamper Program

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an increase in food insecurity among families in Edmonton, AB, as many families faced shortfalls in income from job losses, reduction in hours worked, among other challenges. To address the need for food within the community, from January to April, we provided food insecure families with a monthly hamper of 72lb of groceries that addresses all their grocery needs for the month.

Uganda Sustainable Agricultural Village

95% of Madi Okollo in Northern Uganda is vulnerable to extreme poverty. Without proper infrastructure and support communities in Madi Okollo are greatly impacted by the lack of access to social services and livelihood support. This sustainable agricultural village program in Uganda provides community members with modern farming technique training, goats for rearing, and planting materials and tools for sustainable gardens that will provide families with fresh fruits and vegetables

Iftar Meals- Ramadan Feed At Home

This Ramadan Penny Appeal Canada is provided 6688 iftar meals to families in need in Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Scarborough, Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, St. Catherines, Calgary, and Edmonton. 4 days a week #TeamOrange volunteers delivered restaurant prepared meals to families in need!
