A first of its kind event in Toronto! This exciting event combines community spirit, fun-filled family activities, and a mission to help those in need. Designed for friends and families, the rally promises a unique experience for all. Think of it as “The Amazing Race” on wheels—an engaging treasure hunt and car rally, all in one! Proceeds from this event will go towards aid and relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Beryl

Visit Penny Appeal Canada website and register your car and team members. After completion, you will be e-mailed a confirmation along with payment options. That’s it! You’re ready to zip and zoom (in a safe way) around Mississauga!

Drivers must be 18 years of age or older with a valid Canadian drivers license and a fully insured car. This is a family event. Children are allowed. However, they must be buckled in, and secured in a car seat if necessary.

No, The Whips N’ Wheelz Car Rally and Treasure Hunt is not a race. You must drive safely with respect to participants and members of the public, you must comply with local laws and regulations and at no time be driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Penny Appeal Canada staff reserves the right to refuse anyone from participation whom they feel are not  suited for this event. You are responsible for all consequences of your actions including tickets, being cited, charged, prosecuted or ejected from any venue/location. As well, the organizer accepts no responsibility for damage to your vehicle or a third party vehicle.

The entry fee includes: 2 T-shirts, Flags/Decals.

This adventure is based on a points system. Participants can gain rewards by thinking outside the box and efficiently completing checkpoint tasks. Teams are expected to drive safely and responsibly, with consideration for the rules of the road and all venues we visit along the way. Because the event is treasure-hunt based, taking initiative with bonus tasks will be of great benefit.

This rally sees teams navigate to each checkpoint and earn points by solving questions, taking photos and tagging the relevant Penny Appeal account given, and completing bonus tasks for additional points. At the end of the event, the teams with the most points will walk away with the first, second and third place prizes.

We also award teams based on their unique factor. Whether you dress up, create a team theme, or best dressed vehicles you’ll be in contention for the Penny Appeal Spirit Award, which is handed out to the most memorable team in the event.

PENNY APPEAL’S 2024 REFUND POLICY IS AS FOLLOWS:

We are happy to provide refunds to teams that have to withdraw from our events. However, once financial commitments are made to venues and hard costs, we are unable to process refunds in-full. 

 

The deadline for refunds is Monday Aug. 5th. To request a refund, please email eventinquiry@pennyappeal.ca

 

If you withdraw after the refund deadline, it becomes your sole responsibility to find a replacement team to fill your own spot. After the refund deadline, refunds will not be processed until a replacement team has been secured.

 

Your deposit is considered 100% refundable if:

 

The organizers need to cancel the event;

A replacement team is found to fill your spot on the event.

Deposits will not be kept as credit on-file. Your deposits are used to cover the costs of welcome packages and miscellaneous costs, and will be refunded if a replacement team is found to fill your spot.
