Can I perform slaughter of the Qurbani myself or should I donate that money to an organization to do it on my behalf and should I do my Qurbani locally or internationally?

First of all, obviously according to all the scholars that say it is better to perform the slaughter yourself.

But if you can’t have it, and you have a soft heart like myself. For the sake of Allah, I know I look like a big bear but I really can’t do it myself. So, you can give the money to another organization to do it on your behalf, such as Penny Appeal Canada. However, you cannot give portion of that for those who actually slaughtered on it because it’s not allowed according to Sunnah. But you can pay them money not part of that Qurbani cost.

To answer the second question, if you are going to sacrifice and you give, it is better the scholars say to give locally. But if there is none of us here that are poor, or not in need then it is permissible for you then to go internationally and perform your Qurbani internationally.

May Allah accept our Qurbani. Jazak Allah Khayrun.
