We at Penny Appeal Canada take your right of Qurbani seriously. That’s why we source and sacrifice the healthiest animals with your donation, maintaining your duty as a Muslim and guaranteeing your Qurbani reaches those who need it the most.
This year the coronavirus has made it extremely difficult for some families to put food on the table, but your Qurbani donations could change that for them. Help give poor families a joyous Eid and a delicious meal with your generous donations.
Just $50 ensures your Qurbani is sourced from trusted farmers and supplied to those most in need, providing protein-filled meat for those that have limited access to it throughout the year.
Prices are for one goat, sheep or 1/7th of a cow, based on the group.

Where will my Qurbani be distributed?
We will be distributing qurbani meals to impoverished people across Africa, Asia, The Middle East and right here at home in Canada.
Thanks to all your donations last year, we were able to distribute Qurbani meals to more than 6 million vulnerable people last year.
This year, with COVID-19 affecting so many of our brothers and sisters, it is important that we all remember our responsibility to the less fortunate.

Qurbani is the religious sacrifice of sheep, goats & cattle between the 10th and 12th days of Dhul Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic calendar.
It is a sacred act to honour the tradition of the blessed Prophet Ibrahim (as) and Ismail (as) and their story of sacrifice and devotion to Allah (SWT). Sacrificed meat is distributed among the poor and needy across the globe.
Qurbani holds a special place in Islam. It is stressed upon ithe Qur’an and is a reminder of Prophet Ibrahim’s (as) devotion and obedience.
For many scholars, Qurbanis an obligation for all Muslims who possess the Zakat threshold. Despite this, its critical role within Islam is often missed, resulting in its tremendous barakah being lost.
The Prophet (S) said, “It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (as). For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah (SWT).”
