The worst hit area thus far has been the Buner area in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where 184 deaths were reported.
Vital infrastructure such as roads, power lines, and water lines have been damaged. The spread of waterborne disease as well as difficulty in accessing health care, has government officials and humanitarian agencies worried about the death toll increasing.
