This invigorating and lively event marks two years since the beginning of this war. It will address the current situation, first hand accounts from those who’ve been on the ground, and where we go from here. At this critical juncture of the war against the people of Gaza, this is an event not to be missed.
Noora Sharrab
FOUNDER OF SITTI SOAP
Noora is a founder of Sitti Soap with the aim of empowering refugee women through employment and to help enhance their opportunity to become financially independent and self-sustainable. She has a Masters degree in Political Science with a Specialization in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies at York University in Toronto, Canada, and co-founded an NGO called Hopes for Women in Education. She worked for several years with United Nations agencies in Jordan focusing on education, international development and relief services.


Dr. Yipeng Ge
PHYSICIAN AND PUBLIC HEALTH PRACTITIONER
Dr. Yipeng Ge is a primary care physician and public health practitioner based in Ottawa. He graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2020 with his MD and also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Harvard University. Dr. Ge served as a volunteer medic in Gaza and was also aboard the Handala Freedom Flotilla in July of 2025. He is a member of the board of directors for the Canadian Public Health Association and Canadian Doctors for Medicare and worked for various global health organizations including the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, and the Population Health Research Institute in Hamilton, Ontario.
Hamzah Saadah
PALESTINIAN ACTIVIST AND CONTENT CREATOR
Hamzah Saadah is a popular online content creator with a following of over 10 million across all platforms and is known for his unique blend of gaming, humor, and activism. Born and raised in the United States, Hamzah embraces his Palestinian heritage and uses his platform to advocate for human rights. His TikTok and Instagram accounts frequently feature discussions on Palestinian struggles, raising awareness among millions. Through his influence, he educates his audience on important topics while maintaining a fun and engaging persona. His dedication to activism has made him a key figure in the online political landscape. His partnerships with organizations like HEAL Palestine and Penny Appeal Canada highlight his commitment to making a difference and elevating Palestinian voices and educating people on the plight of the Palestinian people. Despite being a digital entertainer, his content carries a deeper purpose, blending storytelling with activism. As his platforms evolve, his impact is likely to expand, influencing both the gaming and political communities. Farhan Chak
POLITICAL SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR, AUTHOR, EDMONTON CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE(WARD TASTAWIYINIWAK)
Dr. Farhan M. Chak is an award-winning professor, and TEDx speaker with expertise in international relations and strategic policy. With a PhD from Durham University Political Science and Government, he has authored a number of peer review articles on the Middle East and the Kashmir conflict. He was a professor at Qatar University for 15 years before deciding to move back home to Edmonton, Alberta. He is the author of the book, “Nuclear Flashpoint: Kashmir and Regional Powers” and is currently an instructor of Political Science at MacEwan University and is running for Edmonton City Council in Ward Tastawiyiniwak.
